Hello, introduce yourself please.

My name is Kanza Ismail Hameed, and I am 13 years old. I am from the Maldives and currently live in Malaysia.

What languages do you speak?

I speak two languages: Dhivehi and English.

At what age did you start playing tennis?

I started playing tennis at age 10.

Are there other tennis players in your family?

My family plays tennis.

In which club do you train?

I train at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in Malaysia.

What is your weekly training routine?

I usually have a one-hour session in the morning before school and two private sessions per week between classes. After school, I either do one hour of fitness or two hours of tennis.

What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?

My mental is my strength.

What is your age category and your national ranking?

I play for the Maldives under-14 national team and I am ranked second in the Maldives.

What have been your greatest successes so far?

Competed in the ITF/ATF Asian 14 & Under Development Regional Qualifying event in Cambodia over two consecutive weeks, reaching the quarterfinals and achieving an ATF Top 120 ranking during the tournament.

In which countries have you played tournaments?

Maldives, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, Cambodia and coming week, going to Vietnam.

Do you have any sponsors?

What is your goal for 2026?

To break into the top 50 of the ATF rankings.

What is your tennis dream?

My goal is to break into the WTA rankings and become a professional player.
My dream is to participate in a Grand Slam, such as the Australian Open or Roland-Garros.

Who are your favorite tennis players?

I admire Sabalenka and Ben Shelton.

What do you enjoy outside of tennis?

I enjoy reading and writing.
