Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is John Soriano Villamin. I was born on October 4, 2012. I live in Brazil, but I am Filipino.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Tagalog, English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at 4 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my dad plays tennis.
In which club do you train?
I train at LIC Tennis Club.
Who is your coach?
My coach is Marcio Carlsson, former world No. 119.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train 1.5 hours individually in the morning and 2 hours in group sessions in the afternoon, from Monday to Friday.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is my technique. I want to improve my mentality.
What is your age category and your ranking?
I play in the U14 category and I am currently around the top 200 nationally.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I qualified for the main draw of a South American tournament in Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil. I was also a finalist in the Banana Bowl U12 doubles, and a state finalist in a couple of club championships.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I play in the Brazilian circuit and sometimes compete in the South American tour in Argentina.

I do not have a sponsor at the moment.
What is your goal?
My goal is to keep improving my game and myself.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to be the first Filipino to win a Grand Slam.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would like to meet Roger Federer because he is one of my favorite players.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
I play guitar and piano.
