My name is Joaquín Girod, I’m 10 years old. I have American and Venezuelan nationality, and I live in Panama. I was born on April 22, 2015, in Florida, USA.What languages do you speak?
I speak Spanish, English and some Portuguese.At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started when I was 6 years old.Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my dad who is also my coach, my mom, my brother, my uncles, aunts, and cousins all play tennis, almost everyone in my family plays tennis, so it’s like our family sport.In which club do you train tennis?
I train at my tennis academy in Panama “Panama Pacifico Tennis PPT”.Who is your tennis coach?
My main coach is my dad, Enrique Girod, and I also train with other coaches in Venezuela and Panamá.What is your weekly training routine?
Around 10 to 12 hours per week, between training and matches.What is your best shot and things you need to improve?
My best shot is my forehand. I think I need to keep improving my serve and also my mental game.What is your junior tennis category and your national tennis ranking?
I play in U10 and U12, and I am ranked number 1 in both categories in Panama.What are your best tennis results?

Not yet, but I hope to have some soon to help me keep growing in my career.What racket do you play with?

My dream is to become a profesional tennis player and win the Miami Open and I would also like to represent Venezuela/USA in the Davis Cup and Olympic Games.Who are your favorite tennis players?
I often watch professional tennis on TV, It’s my favorite hobby.
My favorite male player is Carlos Alcaraz, and my favorite female player is Mboko (Victoria).What do you like to do outside of tennis?
