Hello, introduce yourself please.I am Jhashan Nikhil Ravi, 16 years old. I was born on January, 20, 2010.
I was born in Selangor, Malaysia, which is where I am living now.What languages do you speak?Malay and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?I started at 7 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?No, I’m the only one.
Which club do you train with?I don’t belong to a tennis club.
Who are your coaches?Coach Yugantaarshwar and coach Vasuthevan.
What is your weekly training routine?I used to train 4-5 times a week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?As an athlete, my greatest quality is resilience. I probably need to improve my social skills lol.
What is your tennis category and national ranking?I am currently #22 in the Malaysian U16 Category.
What has been your greatest achievement so far?National Junior Silver Medal.
In which countries have you played tournaments?I have played in Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia.
Do you have any sponsors?No.
What is your goal for 2026?My goal for 2026 is to maintain my tennis skill level. I’m mostly focusing on my IGCSE’s next year so I won’t be competing a lot.
What is your tennis dream?To become the best version of myself, on and off the court.
Who are your favorite tennis players?Djokovic and Alcaraz.
What do you enjoy outside of tennis?I like to play chess and watch different sports.
Who would you like to dedicate this interview to?I dedicate this interview to my mother for always supporting me through my journey and my coaches.
