Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Irina Gherghina, I am 8 years old, I was born on September 20, 2017.
I live in Constanta, Romania.

What languages do you speak?
Romanian and B1 English

At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at almost 5 years old.

Are there other tennis players in your family?
No tennis player in my family, i`m the first one.

In which club do you train?
Tennis Bright Club, Constanta, Romania

Who are your coaches?
Simona Caragop and George Vanghele

I currently train with two tennis coaches. One has been guiding my development for a longer period, while I recently started working with the other. Both continue to support and contribute to my progress.

What is your weekly training routine?
3 days per week.

What is your junior category and your national ranking?
Orange Bowl Category

What are the best results?
Taking in consideration that I have only 5 tournaments played, my best was 4th place.

In which countries have you already played tennis?
I played only in my country, Romania.

What is the first country you dream of playing in?
I dream to play first in in Wimbledon tournament, London. 13.

Do you have any sponsors?
At the moment, I don’t have any sponsors, but I would truly love the opportunity to represent and collaborate with brands that share my values and passion for tennis. I’m highly motivated and open to meaningful partnerships that support my journey as an athlete.

What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become the number one player in the world and to lift the Wimbledon trophy.

Who are your favorite tennis players?
My favorite players are: Simona Halep & Coco Gauff & Aryna Sabalenka

What do you like to do outside of tennis?
Beyond tennis, I have a strong passion for chess and am currently ranked #8 in my county in my age category.
