🎙️Hudson Wallin | Interview, December 2025
Hello, introduce yourself please. My name is Hudson Wallin, I am 10 years old, I was born on December 4, 2015 in New York City.
I am American and proud to represent my country.
Now I live in Summit, New Jersey, USA.What languages do you speak?I speak English, Croatian and Swedish.
At what age did you start playing tennis?I started playing tennis when I was 5 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?Yes! Both of my parents play tennis just for fun, and we love playing doubles together. My brother and I usually win 😄
Which club do you train with?I train at Centercourt Tennis Academy.
Who are your coaches? My coaches are Jose Lara and Junior Hernandez.
What is your weekly training routine?I go to school (I’m in 4th grade) and play tennis every day after school. I do 3–4 private lessons per week and train in the high-performance program at my club. On weekends, I compete in tournaments, usually two per month. I’ve moved up to 12U to challenge myself, even though I’m often the youngest player on court.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve? My forehand is my biggest strength. I also love my drop shots — they’re pretty good, almost Alcaraz style!
I’m always working on improving every part of my game. What is your tennis category and national ranking?I currently play in 12U tournaments.
I am ranked #1 in the state for 10U, #1 in the Eastern section, and #9 in the USA for 10U.What has been your greatest achievement so far?One of my biggest achievements was reaching the finals at Little Mo last summer when I was only 8 years old.
So far, I’ve won 25 tournaments in the USA and 2 tournaments in Sweden. In which countries have you played tournaments?I’ve competed in tournaments in the USA and Sweden.
Do you have any sponsors?I play with a Head Speed racket, just like my favorite player Novak Djokovic, and I wear Lacoste clothing because it’s my favorite brand.
What is your goal for 2026?My goal is to win a set against my brother and to be ranked in the top 100 in the USA before I turn 11 next December.
What is your tennis dream? My dream is to become a professional tennis player, reach world number one, and win all the Grand Slam tournaments — especially Wimbledon and the US Open.
Who are your favorite tennis players? My favorite player is Novak Djokovic.
What do you enjoy outside of tennis?I like playing American football and soccer, spending time with my friends, fishing, and being around water. I love sailing, the beach, and everything about summer in Croatia. I also enjoy family time and spending time with my five dogs.
Who would you like to dedicate this interview to?I dedicate this interview to my parents, who support me every step of the way, and to all young players who believe in their tennis dreams.
Thank you for the interview, Hudson 🙌
