Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Gloria Temgoua, I am Cameroonian, born in Douala on October 15, 2012.
For almost two years now, I have been living in La Grande-Motte, France.At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at the age of 3, inspired by a family passion.Are there other tennis players in your family?
My parents play regularly, and my two older brothers are also excellent players — Hubert, who played for an American university in Florida, and Jefferson, ranked 5/6 in France.What is your club?
I am a member of the Tennis Club of La Grande-Motte.Who are your coaches?
My coach is Florentin Meynié.How many hours a week do you train tennis and do physical training?
I train an average of 13 to 15 hours per week.Do you pay attention to your diet, food and drink?
Yes! Nutrition is huge for me. I eat protein to build muscles, carbs for energy, and keep my meals clean for top performance. I drink a lot of water, coconut water, and use Redmond’s electrolytes — especially since I train at high altitude.What is your junior category and your national ranking?
Currently competing in the U14 category, I am ranked 3/6 in France, placing me among the top 10 players in my age group nationwide, and around 850th in the Tennis Europe rankings.
In Cameroon, I am one of the top 2 female players in the country.What are your best performances?
I have won several junior tournaments in France (Honfleur, Houlgate, Blonville in Normandy) and now mainly compete in adult tournaments.Do you have any sponsors?
For now, my sponsor is my dad, but I hope to soon have an official partner.What racket do you play with?
I currently play with Yonex equipment, without a contract yet.In which countries have you ever been to play tennis?
Tennis has already taken me to several countries: France, Spain, Finland, Portugal, and Belgium… and I dream of conquering the professional tennis world.What is your tennis dream?
My ultimate goal is to win Grand Slam tournaments.Who are your favorite tennis players?
