Hello, introduce yourself please.

My name is Ella Schneegans, I am 12 years old, I was born on May 20, 2013 in Kassel, Germany.
I am German and I live in Lingen (Ems), Germany.

What languages do you speak?

I speak German, English, and French.

At what age did you start playing tennis?

I started playing tennis when I was 4 years old.

Are there other tennis players in your family?

My parents and my brother sometimes play in their free time.

In which club do you train?

I train at TC Lingen Blau-Weiß and in the Dollart/Ems/Vechte region.

Who are your coaches?

My first coaches were Kerstin Müller (Kassel) and Vojko Anicic (Lingen). Now it’s Björn Engelsberg (Lingen) and Arne Plagemann (Region).

What is your weekly training routine?

During the week I have 4 hours of tennis training and 2 hours of athletic training. On weekends I usually play tournaments or league matches.

As an athlete, what is your greatest quality and what do you need to improve?

My greatest strengths are my serve and my backhand. In the future, I want to work on my mentality.

What is your junior category and your national ranking?

My current junior category is U12 and my national ranking is 94th place.

What has been your greatest achievement?

2nd place in the cup round at the German midcourt championships and 49th place in the dtb ranking.

In which countries have you already played tournament?

So far I’ve only played tournaments in Germany.

Do you have any sponsors?

I have two sponsors: Bidi Badu and Formaxx AG Lohne.

What is your goal for 2026?

Getting my LK below 14 and play many good tournaments.

What is your tennis dream?

My dream is to become a good tennisplayer, get a scholarship in the USA and become a coach myself.

Who are your favorite tennis players?

My favorite tennis player is Novak Djokovic.

What do you like to do outside of tennis?

Playing with friends and doing other sports.
