Hello, introduce yourself please.

Hi! My name is Elisa Cristina García Chávez, I’m 14 years old, I was born on July 6, 2011, and I’m from Tenerife, Spain.

What languages do you speak?

I speak two languages, English and Spanish.

At what age did you start playing tennis?

I started playing tennis when I was 5.

Are there other tennis players in your family?

There are no other tennis players in my family.

In which club do you train?

Pancho Alvariño Academy.

Who are your coaches?

I currently train with Pancho Alvariño.

What is your weekly training routine?

My weekly training routine is from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., two hours of tennis and an hour and a half of physical conditioning.

As an athlete, what is your greatest quality and what do you need to improve?

My greatest strength is that I enjoy the moment, and I will continue training to improve.

What is your junior category and your national ranking?

I play in the under-14 category and I’m currently ranked 25th in Spain, about to enter the top 10 in Spain since I’ve had very good results in the last three months, and the rankings haven’t been updated yet.

What has been your greatest achievement?

So far, I’ve reached the final of a Tennis Europe tournament and won the Warriors Masters.

In which countries have you already played tournament?

I’ve played in Croatia, where I was a finalist in the Masters Champions Bowl, and in Spain.

Do you have any sponsors?

Starting in January 2026, I’ll be sponsored by Head.

What is your goal for 2026?

My goal for 2026 would be to continue improving and climb higher in the rankings.

What is your tennis dream?

My dream is to be in the world’s top 10 and win Grand Slams.

Who are your favorite tennis players?

My favorite tennis players are Carlos Alcaraz, Rafa Nadal, and Serena Williams.

What do you like to do outside of tennis?

Besides tennis, I enjoy listening to music.

I’d like to dedicate this interview to my parents for all the support they give me every day and for believing in me.
