Hi, I’m Dominik Czopek and I’m 14 years old from Dumfries, Scotland.
I started playing tennis when I was six years old and the reason why I started playing tennis is because I loved the thrill when it came to competitions and competing and training. In my family, it’s only me and my brother that play tennis. Unlike me, my brother only plays tennis for fun.
I train at Merchiston Tennis Academy 15 hours a week. I train there with the other boys that also go to the academy.
I’m sponsored by Head and I use the Head Speed Racket which I really, really like.
My best results so far are winning an Under 12 Tennis Europe, getting third and second place in British National Championships, getting to a semi-final of a 14 Under Cat 2, being ranked top 8 in the UK and number 1 in Scotland for my age group, and getting my first ITF point at 14.
My dream is to become a professional tennis player and be ranked top 3 in the whole world.
My favourite tennis players are Novak Djokovic and Iga Swiatek.
