🎙️ Diana Bidenko | Interview, April 2026
Hello, introduce yourself please.
Hello! My name is Diana Bidenko. I am 12 years old. I was born in Moscow, and when I was 7 years old I moved to Spain. Spain has become my home and the place where my true tennis journey began.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Spanish, English, and Russian. I love being able to communicate in different languages.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 9 years old. From the very first moment, I knew tennis was something special for me.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, but in my family there is a strong love for tennis. We always have matches on TV, and although no one plays professionally, they have supported me unconditionally from day one.
In which club do you train?
I currently train at two clubs: one in Nules, Scude, led by Josele Díaz, and another at Focus (Chiva).
Who are your coaches?
My main coach is Borja Uribe Quintana, a former professional player who inspires and challenges me every day. I also train with the Focus Academy team led by Daniel Gil. My physical preparation is handled by Álvaro Cremades from Personal Health Studio.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train at least 5 times per week, between 3 and 4 hours of tennis daily, along with physical training to develop strength, speed, and endurance. My routine is intense, but I love it.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My best shot is my forehand. I also enjoy how my serve is evolving. I have an aggressive playing style that I really enjoy. I constantly work on improving my consistency, especially in important moments, to make my game more solid and complete.
What is your age category and your ranking?
Since January, I have been competing in the U14 and U16 categories in Spain. My national ranking is improving step by step, and I am very happy with my progress tournament after tournament.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I was a finalist in the Marca tournament and champion of the Comunidad Valenciana Masters. I also became doubles champion in the Warriors Tour. I have achieved several regional victories and finals in the Comunidad Valenciana. Each result means a lot to me, not only for the trophies but for everything I learn along the way.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Spain, and I am excited for upcoming national and international experiences.
In which country do you dream of playing?
I dream of playing in France, especially at Roland Garros. The idea of competing on such an iconic court excites me a lot.
Do you have any sponsors?
I am open to sponsorship opportunities that align with my sporting goals.
What is your tennis dream?
My biggest dream is to win a Grand Slam and become one of the best players in the world.
Which players are your favorites?
My favorite players are Aryna Sabalenka for her power and energy, and Rafael Nadal for his fighting spirit and unbreakable attitude. They inspire me a lot.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy going to school, learning new things, drawing, spending time with my family, and trying new foods.
