Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Denys Panyuk. I am 12 years old and I was born on December 7, 2013. I am from Rivne, Ukraine.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Ukrainian.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 8 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my mother and my sister also play tennis, but they are not professional players.
In which club do you train?
There is no tennis club in my city, so I train directly with my coach.
Who are your coaches?
My team includes my coach, a physical training coach, and a sparring partner, who is my coach’s daughter.
What is your weekly training routine?
I usually have five to six tennis sessions per week, and even more during the summer, plus three physical training sessions per week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
I think my greatest strengths are my backhand crosscourt and my attacking forehand. I still need to improve my forehand down the line.
What is your age category and your national ranking?
I compete in the U14 category and I am currently ranked No.40 in Ukraine.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
In Ukraine, my best result on the UTF circuit has been finishing as runner-up in a tournament. In Europe, I played one tournament and reached the quarterfinals.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Ukraine and Spain.
Do you have any sponsors?
No, I do not have any sponsors at the moment.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to play Junior Tennis Europe tournaments and achieve good results.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to win Grand Slam tournament.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I am a big fan of Carlos Alcaraz because he is very fast, I like his drop shot, and I feel that I have a similar playing style.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy playing video games, reading books, and playing football.

I would like to dedicate this interview to all the children who play tennis, and I hope even more children will discover and enjoy this sport.
