Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Defne Su Şen, I am 10 years old and I was born on May 15, 2015.
I’m Turkish and I live in Istanbul, Turkey.

At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis in february 2021 at 6 years old.

Are there other tennis players in your family?
There is no other tennis players in my family.

What is your club?
I train tennis at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club.

Who is your coach?
My coach is Kürşad Sönmez.

How many hours a week do you train tennis and do physical training?
I train 4 hours a day, 6 days a week (24 hours a week).

Do you pay attention to your diet, food and drink?
Yes, I pay attention to my daily nutrition.

What is your junior category, what is your national ranking, what are your best results?
I don’t have any Yellow Ball points yet.
In Green Ball, I’ve won 42 medals and 3 trophies.

Do you have any sponsors?
I don’t have a sponsor yet, and I need one.

What racket do you play with?
I play with a Babolat 26 inches racket.

In which countries have you ever been to play tennis?
I have only played tennis in Turkey.

What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to become a national athlete and competing at Wimbledon when the time comes.

Zeynep Sönmez and Arina Sabalenka

What do you like to do outside of tennis?
I like riding a bike, skating, reading, listening to music, painting…
