Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Defne Demirhan. I am 10 years old, born on December 9, 2015. I live in Istanbul, Turkey.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Turkish and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 6 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my older brother also plays tennis, and he inspires me to improve every day.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at TED Sports Club in Istanbul, one of the leading tennis clubs in Türkiye.
What is your coaching team?
I work with my tennis coach and a fitness coach who help me improve every day.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train around 12 hours of tennis and 6 hours of fitness every week. I also play matches regularly.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My biggest strength is my determination and fighting spirit. I never give up. I want to improve my consistency and become mentally stronger in tough matches.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U12 category and actively play national tournaments. As I am still 10 years old, I have recently started competing in the U12 category, and I am working hard to earn my first ranking points.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I have participated in many national tournaments and one international tournament, where I gained valuable match experience and improved my game.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments both in Türkiye and internationally in the United States.
Do you have any sponsors?
Not yet, but I am open to partnerships and opportunities.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to improve my ranking, win more matches, and compete in higher-level international tournaments.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to improve step by step, reach a top ranking, and compete in the biggest tournaments.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would love to meet Roger Federer because of his elegance, discipline, sportsmanship, and incredible achievements in tennis.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I love reading books, riding my bike, and having fun with my friends.
