Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Daria Vasileva. I am 11 years old and I was born on October 6, 2014. I am Bulgarian and I live in Sofia, Bulgaria.
What languages do you speak?
I speak English and Bulgarian.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 5 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
I am the only one in my family who plays tennis, but my family always supports me.
In which club do you train?
I train at TC “Lokomotiv 1929” Sofia.
Who are your coaches?
Martin Dimitrov is my tennis coach, and Kaloyan Chernev is my physio.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train tennis four days a week, have fitness sessions two days a week, and play friendly matches or tournaments on weekends.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
I think my greatest strengths are my self-control and mental strength. I am currently working on improving my footwork and power.
What is your age category and your national ranking?
I compete in the U12 and U14 categories, and I am currently ranked No.12 nationally in the U12 category.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My biggest achievements so far are reaching No.1 in the Kinder+ U10 rankings and reaching the Kinder+ U10 finals twice. I am also proud that I never give up.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Bulgaria and Hungary.
Do you have any sponsors?
Not at the moment, but I would love to find sponsors in the future who believe in me.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to continue improving as a player and to win more high-level tournaments.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to find a sponsor who can support me to become a professional tennis player and compete in Grand Slams.
Who are your favorite tennis players?
My favorite tennis players are Elena Rybakina for her calmness and self-control, Aryna Sabalenka for her strength, and Novak Djokovic for his big heart.
What do you enjoy outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I love spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy traveling and new adventures.
