Hello, introduce yourself please.Hi, my name is Bruno Kosztoványi. I am 13 years old and I am from Hungary.
What languages do you speak?I speak English, German, and Hungarian, and I have also started learning Spanish.
At what age did you start playing tennis?I started playing tennis at the age of 5 and began competing in tournaments when I was 8.
Are there other tennis players in your family?My father played tennis, and he took me to his training sessions, where I immediately fell in love with the sport.
Which club do you train with?I train at Tenisz Műhely in Budapest, which is one of the most successful tennis club in Hungary.
Who are your coaches?My tennis coaches are Petra Selmeci and Réka Jani, a former top 100 WTA player. My fitness coach is Gergely Németh.
What is your weekly training routine?I train almost every day, usually two to three hours of tennis and one hour of physical training.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?My strengths are my good feel for the ball and my strong work ethic. Areas I am currently working to improve include my footwork and maintaining consistency during matches.
What is your tennis category and national ranking?My current Tennis Europe ranking is 270, and my national ranking is 6.
What has been your greatest achievement so far?My greatest achievements so far include winning a Tennis Europe doubles tournament, becoming a national champion, and being a member of the Hungarian national team.
In which countries have you played tournaments?I have competed in international tournaments in Denmark, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Slovenia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Germany.
Do you have any sponsors?I currently have one clothing sponsor, Demons and Wizards from Singapore and Wilson is my racket sponsor.
What is your goal for 2026?My goal for 2026 is to break into the Top 100 of the junior rankings and to win tournaments.
What is your tennis dream?My dream is to compete at the highest level of professional tennis and reach the Top 100 in the world and to win professional tournaments.
Who are your favorite tennis players?My favourite tennis players are Carlos Alcaraz and Márton Fucsovics.
What do you enjoy outside of tennis?Outside of tennis, I enjoy playing football, fishing, and skiing.
Who would you like to dedicate this interview to?I would like to dedicate this interview first and foremost to my parents, who have supported me in every way, as well as to my coaches.
