Hello, introduce yourself please.

My name is Ayser Zarif, I’m 13 years old.
I live in Melaka, Malaysia.

What languages do you speak?

Malay, English and a little Arabic.

At what age did you start playing tennis?

Started at 7 but stopped because of the pandemic then continued at 10.

Are there other tennis players in your family?

Yes, my sister.

In which club do you train?

Elite Melaka.

Who are your coaches?

Ashraf.

What is your weekly training routine?

3-4 times a week on holidays but on school period, 2 times a week (I’m in boarding school).

As an athlete, what is your greatest quality and what do you need to improve?

My greatest quality is my serve and what I need to improve is my plyometrics.

What is your junior category and your national ranking?

Under-14, ranked #28.

What has been your greatest achievement?

I represented my state and reached the quarter-finals twice.

In which countries have you already played tournament?

Thailand and Indonesia.

Do you have any sponsors?

No, not yet.

What is your goal for 2026?

Representing my country.

What is your tennis dream?

My dream is to get into the ATP top 100.

Who are your favorite tennis players?

Roger Federer.

What do you like to do outside of tennis?

Volleyball.
