Kyiv (also spelled Kiev) is the capital city of Ukraine and one of the oldest cities in Eastern Europe. It sits on the Dnieper River and has about 3 million people.

• Kyiv is famous for its golden-domed churches, especially St. Sophia’s Cathedral and the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra (Monastery of the Caves). 🕍✨
• It has many green parks and chestnut trees, giving the city a fresh, natural feel. 🌳🌸
• The city is also a modern center, with theaters, museums, and universities. 🎭📚
• Kyiv has a long history, dating back more than 1,400 years, and played a big role in the culture of Eastern Europe.

Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Aurora. I am 9 years old. I was born on April 18, 2016.
I am Ukrainian. I live in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.

At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at the age of 4.5.

Are there other tennis players in your family?
No. My parents were forced to love tennis when I told them that I would like to become a professional tennis player 😂

In which club do you train tennis?
“Antey”. This is a club with a long tennis history. Such famous Ukrainian tennis players as Natalia Medvedeva, Galina Baksheeva, Andreï Medvedev, Oleksandr Dovgopolyi Sr. and Jr., Volodymyr Lys, Oleksiy Krutyi, Eva Lys and Marta Kostyuk trained here.

Who is your tennis coach?
My coach is the famous Ukrainian tennis coach Talyna Beiko.
She is the first coach and mother of professional tennis player Marta Kostyuk.

How many hours a week do you train tennis and do physical training?
I usually train 8-10 hours per week.

What is your junior tennis category and your national tennis ranking?
I am currently in the Under-10 category.
I am on the third place.

What are your best tennis performances?

• 3rd place at Ukrainian Tennis Federation Cup
• 1st place at Kyiv Championship

Do you have any sponsors?
No,I don’t.

What tennis racket do you play with?
Wilson Ultra

In which countries have you already participated in tennis tournaments?
Thanks to my coach, I had the opportunity to attend Roland Garros and trained in Paris at private La Cavalerie Club.

What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become world number one and see the end of the war.

Who are your favorite tennis players?
My favourite tennis players are Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk.

What do you like to do outside of tennis?
I like to draw, build Lego, play soccer, and do crafts with my own hands.✅
