Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Asya Kandemir. I was born on May 5, 2015. I am Turkish, and I live in Izmit, Kocaeli, Turkiye.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Turkish and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 6 or 7 years old. I first had small training sessions at my school and then I started training at a professional tennis club.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, there are tennis players in my family, but they are not ranked internationally.
In which club do you train?
I train at Izmit Tennis Club in Izmit, Turkiye.
Who are your coaches?
My team consists of my tennis coach and my conditioning coach.
What is your weekly training routine?
During the weekdays, I train twice a day in tennis and also have one conditioning session every day.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
One of my greatest strengths is my mentality and determination on the court. I also have strong upper and lower body strength and muscle mass compared to players my age. Technically and mentally I feel confident, but physically I hope to grow taller in the future.
What is your age category and your national ranking?
I compete in the U12 category, and I am currently ranked No.1 nationally for my age.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
One of my greatest achievements so far has been being selected for the national team.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Turkiye and Estonia.

No, I currently do not have any sponsors.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to be selected for the national team again and to improve my Tennis Europe ranking points.
What is your tennis dream?
My biggest dream in tennis is to become one of the best players in the world.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would most like to meet Aryna Sabalenka because her determination and success inspire me. I admire her physical strength and powerful playing style, and I would love to develop similar power in my own game.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy drawing and playing the piano. I am currently preparing for Grade 4 piano exams at the London College of Music.
