Hello, introduce yourself please.

My name is Arisztid Orban, I am 13 years old, I was born on June 08, 2012.
I am Hungarian, and I live in Budapest, Hungary.

What languages do you speak? 

English, Hungarian.

At what age did you start playing tennis?

Since the age of 7.

Are there other tennis players in your family?

Yes, my mom is working for the Hungarian Tennis Association as the Head of Tennis U12.

In which club do you train?

Tenisz Műhely, Budapest.

Who are your coaches?

Petra Selmeci and his team.

What is your weekly training routine?

5 times a week, 2-3 hours/day, tennis + fitness.

What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?

I think I am extremely hardworking and humble. I also pay close attention to my school performance so that it does not deteriorate. I need to improve my concentration and self-confidence first and foremost.

What is your age category and national ranking?

I belong to the U14 age group and I am ranked #14 in Hungary

What have been your greatest successes so far?

In 2024, I won the National Student Olympics in my age group, and last year I finished in the top four at the Budapest Championships.

In which countries have you played tournaments?

I have competed in many countries, as I play on the Tennis Europe Junior Tour. I have played in Cyprus, Slovakia, Romania, Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia, but perhaps the most special experience was training at the High Performance training sessions at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Spain.

Do you have any sponsors?

No, I don’t.

What is your goal for 2026?

In 2026, I want to perform well in Tennis Europe competitions and move up in the Hungarian and international rankings.

What is your tennis dream?

My biggest dream is to play for the Hungarian national team and to finish as high as possible in the ATP rankings.

Who are your favorite tennis players?

Rafael Nadal, whom I also met. And among the Hungarians, Fábián Marozsán.

What do you enjoy outside of tennis?

I really enjoy reading, driving go-karts, skiing, and wakeboarding.
