Hello, introduce yourself please.
Hello, my name is Anna Bychenko. I am 16 years old and I was born on May 7, 2009. I am Russian, and I live in Larnaca, Cyprus. I am a junior tennis player competing in the U18 category.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Russian, English, and Greek.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 6 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, both my younger sister and I play tennis.
In which club do you train?
I train at Herodotou Tennis Academy.
Who are your coaches?
My coaches are Demetris Herodotou, Andreas Tofarides, Eleni Pastellidou, Nicholas Campbell, and Stella Kyratzi.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train six times a week, combining both tennis practice and fitness training.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My biggest strength is my positive mindset and attitude towards setbacks. I am currently working a lot on my explosiveness and overall fitness.
What is your age category and your ranking?
I compete in the U18 category, and I am currently ranked No.2 in Cyprus.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My biggest achievement so far is reaching the Women’s Final of the Masters Cup, the most prestigious tournament in Cyprus.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Cyprus, Serbia, Armenia, and Georgia.
Do you have any sponsors?
Currently, I do not have any sponsors, but I hope to have some in the near future.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to improve as much as possible and to break into the ITF Top 1000 by the end of the year.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to be in the WTA Top 10 and to win the Australian Open.

My favorite players are Jannik Sinner, Rafael Nadal, and Maria Sharapova.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy doing art and spending as much time as possible with my family.
