Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Alina Zavarzina. I am 14 years old. I was born on January 10, 2012. I am Russian and I live in Moscow.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Russian and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at the age of 11.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my mother is a professional tennis player, and now she is a professional coach.
In which club do you train?
I train at April Tennis Club.
Who are the members of your team?
My tennis coach is Olga Isaeva, and my physical training coach is Alexander Savin.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train every day except Sunday, with 3 hours of tennis and 1 hour of physical training.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
I play attacking tennis and I need to improve my physical fitness.
What is your age category and your ranking?
I compete in the U15 category. My singles ranking is 229 and my doubles ranking is 97.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My biggest achievement so far is my rapid progress in a short period of time. I started playing international tournaments about a year ago, and I was able to enter the Tennis Europe ranking and reach position 217. This shows that I am moving in the right direction and developing quickly. My goal is now to establish myself at this level and compete for top positions in tournaments.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played in Turkey, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.
Do you have any sponsors?
No, I do not have any sponsors.
What is your goal for this year?
My goal is to enter the top 100 in Tennis Europe and win 4 to 5 international tournaments.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become world No. 1.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would like to meet Aryna Sabalenka because I like the way she plays and I would like to ask her some tennis questions.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
I enjoy snowboarding, cycling, and dressing stylishly.
