Tennis Papers | About

Tennis is a deep and vibrant passion that brings together millions of people from all corners of the globe. This site was thoughtfully designed to truly capture the very essence of the sport by sharing the compelling stories of young, talented athletes. Our mission extends far beyond simply reporting the latest news and scores; we strive to inspire and motivate the next generation of players and fans alike, fostering a lasting love for the game.

On this website, we will offer valuable insights and detailed information about young athletes as they navigate their way through the challenging and exciting world of tennis. Our goal is to share comprehensive stories and unique perspectives on the journeys, experiences, and development of these talented junior tennis players as they strive to achieve their goals and grow in the sport.

Tennis Papers publishes daily interviews with junior tennis players from around the world.

Each player profile is created with their consent and enthusiastic participation, those of their parents, family, or mentor.
We communicate in various ways, via social media (Instagram or Facebook) or by email.
We gather information following a short interview.

We interview boys and girls tennis players — aged 8 to 21 — beginners and experienced players — amateurs and semi-professionals — Africans, North Americans, South Americans, Europeans, Asians, and Oceanians.

Then, for each young tennis player we communicate with, we create a detailed profile:

  • Biography
  • Description of residence with photo and map
  • Photos of the player
  • Transcript of the interview
  • Short videos of the player practicing tennis and doing physical training

Finally, after approval of the detailed profile by the player and/or their family, Tennis Papers publishes a pictorial post on several social media channels:

These completely free posts offer each junior tennis players recognition and social media visibility, and can potentially lead to sponsorships.

Tennis Papers also hope that these publications will allow young athletes to travel virtually, discover new countries and cities, and enrich themselves culturally by studying the geography of our world.

Through these publications, we hope that intercontinental friendships will be created between all these young players and their families. And perhaps, these publications will also inspire the creation of future tennis doubles pairs…

About the authors

Tennis Papers was created by Guillaume Laisne, a native of France with a lifelong love for the game. An avid fan and dedicated amateur player since his teenage years, Guillaume established this platform to connect with fellow enthusiasts and to celebrate the sport he cherishes.

His goal was to promote new talents and create a space where fans from all corners of the globe could discover tennis junior players.

Guillaume’s love for the game is reflected in his commitment to uncovering the hidden gems of the sport. Each interview not only highlights the player’s achievements but also explores their backgrounds, training regimens, and aspirations. By sharing these stories, we help bridge the gap between seasoned fans and newcomers alike.

Guillaume Laisne grew up admiring the exploits of the players of the 1980 generation: Bjon Borg, John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors, Guillermo Vilas, Yannick Noah, Martina Navratilova, Chris Evert, Henri Leconte, Boris Becker, Stefan Edberg, Ivan Lendl…
