Hello, introduce yourself please.My name is Karolina Kopoteva, I am 12 years old, I was born on January 31, 2014.
I am Russian, from Izhevsk, Russia.What languages do you speak?I speak Russian and a little English (I’m studying English).
At what age did you start playing tennis?I started playing tennis at five and a half.
Are there other tennis players in your family?Yes, my mother is my coach, and she also used to play tennis. And my father used to play ice hockey, and at 27, he started to become a coach (fitness and tennis).
In which club do you train?I train at the Recourt Club in Izhevsk.
Who are your coaches?I have two coaches: my parents (Olesia Kopoteva and Denis Kopotev). I have a training partner and two physical trainers.
What is your weekly training routine?I train five to six times a week and have one to two days off. Each day, I play tennis for three to four hours and have one hour of physical conditioning or stretching.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?I love playing everywhere. I’m doing well in all areas except service, which I need to improve.
What is your age category and your national ranking?I used to be number 1, but now I’m number 2 in Russia in my category.
What have been your greatest successes so far?I won the Tennis Europe in Armenia and almost every tournament I’ve played.
In which countries have you played tournaments?I’ve played in Russia, Armenia, and in Baku (Azerbaijan). And I hope to play this year at the IMG Futures Stars.
Do you have any sponsors?I don’t have a sponsor, which is why it’s difficult to travel internationally much; it’s very expensive.
What is your goal for 2026?To be number 1 in Russia and try to win every tournament I enter in Europe to become stronger.
What is your tennis dream?To be number 1 in the world.
Who are your favorite tennis players?Sabalenko, Andreeva, Alcaraz.
What do you enjoy outside of tennis?I like to draw and weave beads.
