Hello, introduce yourself please.My name is Razvan Iancu, I am 14 years old, I was born on June 8, 2011. I’m from Bucharest, Romania.
What languages do you speak?I speak Romanian, English and I’ve started to learn Japanese.
At what age did you start playing tennis?I have been playing tennis since I was 6 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?I’m the only tennis player in my family.
In which club do you train?I’m registered to LPS Mircea Eliade club, but I am training near my house, at another tennis base.
Who are your coaches?My coach is Tommy Barberi.
What is your weekly training routine?I used to train every day, but I had an injury last year and for the moment, I only train two days a week. I am in the recovery phase.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?My greatest strength is my perseverance and hard work. I need to improve my technique and my sprinting.
What is your age category and your national ranking?I am supposed to play in U16. My best ranking, before my injury, was 28th place in the national U14 ranking in February 2025.
What have been your greatest successes so far?1st place at a competition in U12 single category, 1st place at doubles in a U14 category tournament and 2nd place at my second U16 tournament I have had played.
In which countries have you played tournaments?Only in Romania.
Do you have any sponsors?Nope.
What is your goal for 2026?To fully recover my health and return to tournaments.
What is your tennis dream?To win Roland-Garros.
Who are your favorite tennis players?Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Casper Ruud.
What do you enjoy outside of tennis?To play video games.
