🎙️Nicole Bejarano | Interview, Jun 2025
Hi, I’m Nicole Andrea Bejarano Patón, 16 years old. I was born on June 7, 2009, in Madrid, Spain. However, I also have Colombian roots on my father’s side.
I started playing tennis at age 4 at a club called Vantage and currently play at a club in Móstoles. I started competing at age 9. I started playing tennis because when I was little, at 9 months old, I went with my father on a trip to Holland to see our family there. My father saw a cousin of mine play, and he wanted me to play too. When I was 4, I touched up a racket for the first time and loved it. Currently, I’m the only tennis player in my family.
I train 10 hours of tennis and 3 hours of physical training a week, and then I compete on the weekends.
Yes, I have a sponsor, Vox Service, called Talay Automoción, and they specialize in vehicle preparation workshops.
I’m playing with this racquet, the 2023 Wilson Shift.
The Móstoles team is training there, and my private teacher is Joel Alicen. I’ve been getting very good results, but I’m going to give this one more importance because it’s the one I just won 3 hours ago.
My goal in tennis is to play at my highest level, and my biggest dream is to become a professional tennis player.
Yes, I often watch professional tennis on TV, but I’ve also seen them up close because I was a ball collector at the Mutu Madrid Open.
My favorite players have always been Rafa Nadal and Serena Williams, but right now I really admire Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner. Thank you! Thank you!
