Hello, introduce yourself please.Hello my name is Giada Abeyta. I am currently 15 years old. My birthday is August 12, 2010.
I am American and Puerto Rican. I live in Denver, Colorado, USA.What languages do you speak?I speak mainly English, but I know American Sign Language and a little Spanish.
At what age did you start playing tennis?I started learning to play tennis at the age of 2, and later, at 10, I started playing in tournaments.
Are there other tennis players in your family?My dad also played tennis through elementary school to high school. He was a regional champion 4 years in a row.
Which club do you train with?I have many tennis clubs. I train in Denver Tennis Park, Gates Tennis Center, Northridge Recenter.
Who are your coaches?My coach’s are John Paige, Frank Adams, and Chris Abeyta.
What is your weekly training routine?My weekly routine: I train 3 times a week and I practice at least 2 times a week, sometimes more.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?I believe my greatest strength is consistency and hard work. One area I need to improve is my mindset.
What is your tennis category and national ranking?My junior category is 16U and my national ranking is 6,923.
What has been your greatest achievement so far?My greatest achievement is that I have been to state with my junior team tennis (jtt) 2 twice I have taken 2nd and 4th place.
In which countries have you played tournaments?I have only played tournaments in the United States.
Do you have any sponsors?No I do not have any sponsors at this time but would definitely love to have some in the future.
What is your goal for 2026?My goals for 2026 is to play a lot of tournaments and play for my high school team.
What is your tennis dream?I want to play tennis in coellge and, later, participate in one of the biggest tournaments.
Who are your favorite tennis players?My favorite tennis players are Carlos Alcaraz, Gael Monfils, and Madison Keys.
What do you enjoy outside of tennis?Outside of tennis, I love running, playing sports, and spending time with my friends and family.
Who would you like to dedicate this interview to?Finally, I’d like to dedicate this interview to my entire family: it’s thanks to them that I have confidence in myself and that I never give up in the face of difficulties. But above all, I’d like to dedicate it to my father, who devoted so much time to teaching me and helping me reach the level I’m at today.
