Hello, introduce yourself please.My name is Alba Arnao Campos, I am currently 10 years old. I was born on August 4, 2015 in Chiclayo, Peru (where I currently live).
What languages do you speak?I speak Spanish, and I also studied English and French three years ago.
At what age did you start playing tennis?My first tennis lessons were at age three, and I started competing at age six.
Are there other tennis players in your family?Yes, my uncle Renzo and my dad.
In which club do you train?I train at my club, the Jockey Club of Chiclayo.
Who are your coaches?My coaches are: Miguel Maurtua (until last year), and currently Jeancarlos Delgado Valdiviezo and Juan Carlos Rojas.
What is your weekly training routine?My weekly preseason training routine is 4 hours a day, 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon (including physical training and tennis). This summer I’m also practicing swimming and volleyball. The rest of the year we train 3 hours a day, 5 days a week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?My best quality as an athlete is resilience. I’m working on my physical and mental endurance.
What is your age category and your national ranking?My 2025 National Ranking for the 10-year-old Girls category was #2.
This year I’ll only be playing in the 12-year-old category, and my current ranking is #10.What have been your greatest successes so far?
- Champion in the National G1 Tournament, Singles category, 10 years old, Ladies, Arequipa-Peru (August-2025)
- Champion in Doubles and Finalist in Singles at the Third Regional G4 Tournament for 12-year-old Girls (September 2025)
In which countries have you played tournaments?So far, I’ve only played tournaments in Peru.
Do you have any sponsors?Not yet.
What is your goal for 2026?My goal for 2026 is to become the best version of myself as a person and an athlete. Making it into the Top 5 in my category would be amazing.
What is your tennis dream?My tennis dream is to become a professional tennis player and be ranked number 1.
Who are your favorite tennis players?My favorite tennis players are Mirra Aleksandrovna Andreeva and Jannik Sinner.
What do you enjoy outside of tennis?I like crafts like ceramics and painting. I enjoy swimming lessons, volleyball, and playing with my friends.
