Hello, introduce yourself please.

My name is Sammy Debbagh. I am 13 years old, born on October 8, 2012.
I am Moroccan and I live in Marrakesh, Morocco.

What languages do you speak?

I speak English, French, and Arabic.

At what age did you start playing tennis?

I started playing tennis when I was 5 years old, with my cousin.

Are there other tennis players in your family?

Yes, many! My brother, cousin, uncle, and sister all play tennis.

In which club do you train?

I train at the Royal Tennis Club of Marrakech, which is an amazing club.

Who are your coaches?

My coaches are Mustapha Dislam and Hamza Karmoussi.

What is your weekly training routine?

I train every day, twice per day: morning session and afternoon session. This helps me improve my physical and technical level consistently.

As an athlete, what is your greatest quality and what do you need to improve?

My greatest quality is my backhand. I need to improve my volley.

What is your junior category and your national ranking?

I play in the U14 category and I am currently ranked 13th in Morocco.

What has been your greatest achievement?

My biggest achievement so far is winning a tournament in my city, Marrakesh.

In which countries have you already played tournament?

I haven’t played official tournaments outside Morocco yet, but I trained at the Piatti Tennis Academy in Italy, which was an incredible experience and helped me improve my game.

Do you have any sponsors?

No, I don’t have any sponsors yet.

What is your goal for 2026?

My goal for 2026 is to beat the number 1 player in my category.

What is your tennis dream?

My dream is to win the US Open.

Who are your favorite tennis players?

My favorite tennis player is Jannik Sinner.

What do you like to do outside of tennis?

Outside of tennis, I like to play ping-pong with my friends.
