🎙️Federico Robles | Interview, Jul 2025
Hi, I’m Federico Robles. I’m 13 years old and I’m from Bogota, Colombia.
I started playing tennis when I was 7. I have an aunt named Catalina Robles who was a professional and reached WTA status. My parents, sister, and grandparents also play tennis, but at the amateur level.
I train at Laverdieri here in Bogota, and my coach, Carlos Nuñes, and Andres Gomez are the ones who are currently working with me.
I train 5 hours and 30 minutes every day. On weekends, I go to the gym and have an hour of private lessons. During the week, I go to the gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the rest of the days, I do physical training.
I’m sponsored by a brand here in Colombia called 3 Aces, and Yonex also sponsors me. My racquet is a Yonex Ezone Cabeza 100, 300 grams.
The truth is, I’ve been having some very good results, but the last important one was in Ecuador, where I won the singles and doubles championships in two G3 tournaments. I’m currently ranked 3rd in Colombia in my category and 5th in South America.
The truth is, I feel like I’m playing very well in all the countries. I don’t know that many, but whenever I’m from the country, I play great tennis.
My dream is to be a professional player and break into the top 10.And my favorite players are Sinner and Sabalenka.
